Events & Fun Stuff
The Green Mountain Central School District offers a variety of different opportunities for students, parents, faculty and alumni to work together and organize school events and interact with one another. We encourage everyone to take an active role in school events and activities and are vested in our growth as a school district. We are also open to any suggestions from the community and student body for the betterment of the school district.
After School Programs
The Green Mountain Central School District provides several different after school programs which are available to all students within the district. After school programs provide students with the opportunities to connect with their peers in a positive setting outside school in which they can explore shared interests. For information regarding the after school programs available at any one of the specific schools within the district, contact the main office or visit the school website.

All students are provided equal opportunity to participate in school sanctioned athletics and we encourage the student body to come out and support their peers and athletes.
Driver's Education
Driver's education classes are available several times a year to GMCSD students. Attending and successfully completing a driver's education class may lower the cost of student's insurance. For class information and availability, please contact the main office of the Green Mountain Central High School.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an open forum for parents and educators within the district to facilitate communication between both parties for the betterment of the school district as a whole. The PTA meets each third Thursday of the month during the school's calendar year in the theater at the Green Mountain Central High School at 7:00pm EST.
Student Council
Student council is a student run organization that spearheads several school-wide events each year, including homecoming celebrations, prom and several fund raising activities throughout the year. Student council is open to all student. Elections for student council offices will be help during the sixth week of classes; those interested in running for office should sign up in the high school guidance department.
Peer Tutoring Programs
To help students to succeed academically, GMCSD has implemented a peer tutoring program. Students can take advantage of our peer tutors in the high school library from 2:45pm to 4:00pm. Peer tutors are students who have excelled academically and have volunteered to help their peers do the same.
Alumni Association
The GMCSD Alumni Association is open to all district graduates. The group organizes several fund raising events throughout the year to benefit different areas of the school district and is responsible for annual class reunions and alumni activities. The Alumni Association meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the high school cafeteria at 6:00pm to discuss upcoming events. Newcomers and recent graduates are welcome!
